Volunteering for ARLAN
ARLAN is an entirely non profit animal advocacy organisation. As such, we rely heavily on our network of volunteers. Because our projects are legal in nature, to volunteer with ARLAN you must be a legal professional or law student.
What do ARLAN volunteers do?
- Assist with legal advice on animal law related matters
- Conduct legal research
- Help with the writing and production ofThe ARLAN Report
- Work on ARLAN campaigns and initiatives
ARLAN understands that many of our members are incredibly busy people - that’s why it’s up to you how much you take on. ARLAN operates a volunteer list, contacting our volunteers whenever we need help on an issue. Some of our members sit on permanent committees or are involved in ongoing projects, others simply respond as and when they are able on an issue by issue basis.
If you let us know what issues interest you most and what area of law you specialise in we can contact you whenever something relevant comes up. Animal law issues arise in many areas, so whatever area you work in, whether it be: criminal, family, environmental/RMA, local government, litigation, trusts and wills, commercial... we need you!
